“At 65 music had “disappeared“ in my life. Working with Kathleen brought back my enjoyment of music, opened up my breathing and helped me get grounded in my body.” - Joanie, Hospice RN
How can your voice support you in reconnecting to your power and expression?
In a lesson we explore:
-
Awareness
We meet for 1 hour sessions in-person or virtually.
Each session starts by bringing our awareness to our bodies. We tune in and discuss both physiologically and emotionally what happens in the body when we sing.
I invite an awareness and meditation practice that brings together the body, breath, & voice.
-
Breath
Inhale. Exhale.
The breath is the foundation of the voice. It supports everything we say & feel.
Take a deep breath. Make a sound.
We practice breathing exercises that both strengthen & empower vocal activation, while tying in teachings of mindfulness, attention, & confidence. Then - we warm our voices up!
-
Strength
Your voice is a muscle.
The more you use it and build a relationship with it, the stronger it becomes. This practice will feed and support many other areas of your life.
We begin to rewrite stories. We discover the aspects of life that may be holding you back.
We activate our voices - our center for communication, purpose, and creativity.
And we play!
What my clients are saying…
“I can only describe my voice lessons with Kathleen as life-giving. I’ve tapped into new parts of myself and my story - writing songs, sharing my voice, creating and connecting with others - because of that decision to start taking lessons back in 2020. Voice lessons create space for honest expression of myself and my truth that I am so grateful for.”
— Marissa, CA
“Working with Kathleen is about so much more than singing. Every lesson is empowering, humbling, playful, and expansive in the best of ways. It’s a true process of self discovery where you’ll find your voice in more ways than you can imagine.”
— Patrick, CO
"I took lessons with Kathleen to find my voice. Not for the intention of speaking, but for the purpose of learning to speak from a place of authenticity and power. I learned so much about how to use my breath to tap into my chest voice, to stay grounded and present, and speak from a place of confidence."
